Events
The Society for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the »Alexandrian Women« tries to present to the public the »Aleksandrinke« phenomenon and thus organizes exhibitions and other events. In collaboration with different institutions it also works on diverse projects.

EXHIBITION – NOVA GORICA 2008
In May 2008 already the fourth exhibition was set up by the Society. At its inauguration in the public library Goriška knjižnica Franceta Bevka in Nova Gorica also the leaflet »In memory of the Alexandrian women« was presented.
SEMINAR PAPER OF THE BIOTECHNOLOGY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – 2008
The Society collaborated with the students of the Biotechnology High School in Šempeter in the preparation of the seminar paper finalized in February 2008 and entitled »Between the Bora and the desert wind – influence of the Alexandrian Women on the nutritional habits of their relatives«.
EXHIBITION – GRADIŠČE 2007
The third exhibition, presenting photographs, items and stories of single families from Gradišče, was set up in Gradišče nad Prvačino by the Society and in collaboration with the local community. The exhibition was open for visitors in December 2007.
MEMORIAL PLAQUE ERECTED IN EGYPT IN 2007
The Society, since its foundation, has planned to erect a commemorative plaque in memory of the girls and women who left for Egypt to earn more money. The opening of the second exhibition set up by the Society took place in the Summer 2007 in the house »Hiša na placu« in Prvačina. The exhibition in the house encloses two rooms, the bigger one is dedicated to a permanent exhibition, the smaller one on the other hand, to the Alexandrian Women from the settlement Gradišče nad Prvačino.
